A grinding of your kind of sample with a Jaw Crusher is not possible to achieve a fineness of < 500 µm as desired.

Even with the smallest possible setting (in changed geometry), up to 3 mm long particles will be found.

The jaw crusher is suitable for a pre grinding of sample. For a fine grinding of sample, e.g. a Disk Mill PULVERISETTE 13 can be used (see result 2).

With a gap setting of 0,2 mm between the grinding disks, particles up to 500 µm length can be found.

Grinding disks are free of residues; a grinding of much higher amounts is still possible.

Several other machines (like Planetary Mono Mill PULVERISETTE 6 classic line; Vibration Cup Mill PULVERISETTE 9; even Mortar Grinder PULVERISETTE 2) are capable grinding smaller quantities to an equal fineness.
