Grinding has been performed without any difficulties, within 60 seconds; the complete sample has been ground successfully. About 5 g of sample use to remain mainly loose inside of the grinding chamber.

Even higher amounts of sample can be ground this way.

Same sample amount has been used in our second trial. Instead of a 1,0 mm sieve insert, this time a 0,5 mm sieve insert has been used to achieve a better fineness.

It took 150 seconds until all sample has been ground. About 26 g of sample use to remain inside the grinding chamber. The openings of the used sieve insert use to be partly closed with sample.

Still higher amounts can be ground. Probably a cleaning step will be required after 500 grams of sample have been fed.

In our last trial, 200 g of sample have been ground with a sieve insert of 0,25 mm trapezoidal perforation.

We interrupted the grinding process after a total grinding time of 5 minutes. A bit of sample remains loose inside the grinding chamber. About ½ of the openings of the trapezoidal perforated sieve insert use to be closed with sample. We don’t recommend grinding higher amounts of sample.
